Present Perfect

This verbal tense is used to talk about:

1. Actions that started in the past and continue in the present or have a consequence/relevance at present time.
Ex: I've lived in this city since I was born

2. Life experiences
Ex: I've travelled around the world by plane

3. Actions that have just happened.
Ex: I've just eaten my breakfast

We use some adverbs and time expressions that are always used with this verbal tense. They are:

already (=ja) Ex: I've already finished my homework
just (=recentment) Ex: I've just finished my homework
ever (=alguna volta) Ex: Have you ever been to New York?
yet (=encara no) Ex: I haven't finished my homework yet

Remember that

ALREADY and JUST are placed between the auxiliary verb HAVEor HAS and the VERB (past participle) within the sentence.

EVER is placed before the verb

YET is placed at the end of the sentence

Now, it's time to check if you've understood this verbal tense...
